Carrina Hampton

MH Social Worker | Family Therapist | Hypnotherapist

Carrina is a mental health social worker, registered family therapist, and clinical hypnotherapist who has been practicing in Bunbury for almost 20 years. Carrina is our Director and leads our therapeutic, community service, and administrative teams.

Carrina has a passion for human experiences, from perinatal well-being, parenting, child, adolescent, and adult mental health, and marital and relationship support. She works with individuals, couples, and families.

Carrina also leads our partner programs/services Beer and Bubs: Childbirth Education for Men at the Pub, Blended! Happy Parenting in a Non-Nuclear World, Willow Training College, and aMaze Parenting.

Carrina is committed to the development of the industry supervising new and emerging counsellors, social workers, and therapists, and guiding professionals through clinical supervision. She is sought for organisational review and quality improvement.

Jaida Bradbury

About Jaida

Jaida is an Allied Health Assistant, Creative Therapist, and Program Support Officer with Bunbury Counselling. She provides therapeutic support to children through our Emotional Awareness program, as well as supporting across all services and programs.

Jaida is passionate about working with young children with a background as a pre-service teacher, primary school tutor, and nanny/carer.

Shirley Barnes

About Shirley

Shirley is an experienced counsellor of 8 years, with practice experience in Youth Suicide Prevention, Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Gender Specific, Child Stressors, Adult and Relationship Specifics, Trauma, Self-Harm, ADHD, Autism, and across most areas of Mental Health.  Shirley works in a client-centred, integrative way allowing her practice to be led by the client’s presentation
and needs.    

Shirley is available for individual counselling services privately or through NDIS plans. Shirley also professional supervision services to individuals and groups in counselling and clinical services professions.
In addition to Counselling, Shirley is a former Ambulance officer (level 2) and St John 1St Aid Officer.

Chiedza Jasi

About Chiedza

Chiedza Jasi (Chichi) works in both Bunbury and Collie, providing individual, group and family support programs. She provides individual counselling to children, teens and adults, with a special interest in disability, inclusion, NDIS services.

Chichi leads our Emotional Awareness programs, delivering creative therapy programs for children.

Chichi is the Coordinator of our aMaze Parenting program and Bunbury MyTime supporting children and families.


Vanessa Trengove

About Vanessa

Vanessa is an Accredited Social Worker and Creative Therapist with a passion for using creativity to engage and inspire clients.  Vanessa has a history of working to support children’s developmental, mental and behavioural health so they can reach their full potential. 
She has also worked in therapeutic roles with individuals and groups in in-patient rehabilitation services. 

Vanessa has a strong professional development background covering complex trauma, grief and loss, mental health, storytelling, and metaphors in clinical practice, music and creative therapies, alcohol and other drug therapies, disability services
and child protection.

Vanessa is available for sessions on Tuesdays in our Bunbury office, with services available for children or adults, as individuals, couples/joint, and families.

Julie Stone

About Julie

Julie will be joining Bunbury Counselling as a Master of Counselling student from late October 2023 to January 2024. With over three decades of experience in counseling and program development, Julie brings a wealth of expertise in trauma-informed counseling, program development, and client support. Her passion lies in working with individuals as they navigate meaningful, transformative changes to enhance their well-being.

Julie’s practice is primarily influenced by the principles of client-centered therapy. She strives to offer clients a warm, collaborative, and purposeful space that is characterized by qualities such as warmth, attentiveness, empathy, understanding, and acceptance. Her approach is firmly rooted in respect, empathy, and an unwavering dedication to your well-being. As Irvin Yalom has wisely noted, “It is the relationship that heals.”

Julie takes a holistic approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of emotional, psychological, physical, contextual, and spiritual aspects within a person’s overall sense of well-being. She values and respects the diverse backgrounds and experiences of her clients, ensuring that their unique journeys are acknowledged and understood. Julie tailors counseling sessions to address your specific needs and goals.

Vanessa Tomlinson

About Vanessa

Vanessa is a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Master Hypnotherapist, Life Coach, and NLP Practitioner. She is passionate about supporting people experiencing difficulties across varying issues that are impacting their joy of life and functioning.  Vanessa works with all ages children, adolescents, and adults with a holistic approach that is tailored to suit the age group and the presenting issues including anxiety, depression, behaviour issues, trauma, and relationship difficulties.

As a counsellor who has lived through the ups and downs, Vanessa became counsellor to support people through trauma to have a more stable mindset and holistic life. She takes pride in creating a safe space for people to be heard in a way that is intuitive and holistic.

Vanessa’s NLP and hypnotherapy skills extend and are not limited to giving up smoking, weight loss, health, childhood trauma, mindset, past life regression, nail-biting, pain management, OCD, confidence, relationships, public speaking, sleep, depression, anxiety, fear, and stress.

Through Vanessa’s education, mindset training and
holistic therapies she supports people to develop mindfulness, self-awareness, and self-care practices, to set goals, and make lasting life changes.
